Update on Library Space Disruptions

by Nicole de Blois on 2022-02-11T12:20:00-08:00 | 0 Comments

Thank you for your continued patience as work continues on a fresh, new look for the Geoffrey R. Weller Library.

The good news is full access is once again available to the 3rd floor space.  Stop by to check out the new carpeting and stay to study!

However, re-carpeting efforts will now focus on the east side of the 2nd floor, starting on Friday March 5th.  If you need to pick up or request books/materials from stacks within call number range A-K, please do so immediately.

Date   2nd Floor Closed Areas 2nd Floor Accessible Areas
Mar 5 - Mar 9                 Stacks A-K, laptop tables and study carrels on library's east perimeter Computer lab, all study rooms, study tables in atrium, study carrels and tables on library's west side

Of course, there will be some noise that goes along with this project.  You may want to book a study room to help 'close the door' on some of the disruption. We will also have earplugs available at the Circulation Desk - don't hesitate to ask for a package.

You may have noticed that work on the Library/Learning Commons renovation project is nearing completion.  We look forward to greeting from our new Circulation Desk on the 1st floor soon.  If you have any questions please contact us at library@unbc.ca
