Graduate Student Workshops: Zotero workshop material

Information about the regularly-occurring workshop series offered to graduate students and other researchers by the Geoffrey R. Weller Library.

This workshop and the accompanying activities are based on UVic's Introduction to Zotero Workshop, which are licensed under a Creative Commons CC-BY-NC license.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Download and install Zotero on their computer
  • Use the Browser Connector to save citations from the web
  • Use the word processor add-in to add citations and bibliographies to written documents
  • Add citations to Zotero a variety of ways
  • Add PDF documents to their Zotero Library
  • Attach Notes to items in their Zotero Library

Workshop Activities

During this workshop you will have time to work through the following Zotero activities on your own computer. The workshop instructor will be available to answer any questions and help troubleshoot as you move through the activities. Activities will remain accessible on this page if you want to come back and review anything.
