Inspiring Women Among Us (IWAU) is an initiative based out of UNBC, and each year they prepare a week of events leading up to the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, usually recognized on December 6th, the date of the Montréal École Polytechnique massacre. This year's events will be taking place from November 17-24, with the day of remembrance being recognized on November 25th. For more information about IWAU and their mission, visit their about page.
This year's theme is "Critique, Renewal, and Celebration: Feminism, the arts, and more inclusive post COVID-19 futures." The week includes a variety of events, including workshops, presentations, readings and book launches, and more!
