Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration

A unique exhibition, Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration, is being co-hosted by the UNBC Arts Council (in the Robert Frederick Gallery at the UNBC Prince George campus) and Two Rivers Gallery (located in downtown Prince George). This exhibit integrates art created by those incarcerated and those who have not been incarcerated to creatively expose the impact of mass imprisonment, punitive governance, and predatory policing in the United States. While the exhibit was created to showcase experiences of Americans, there is a direct connection and relevance to a Canadian context. 

The Geoffrey R. Weller Library has put together a display of books related to racism, sexism, colonialism, and the justice system as a thought-provoking addition to this exhibit:
