If you enjoy reading, studying, or simply relaxing in a quiet setting, you are probably already aware of how Geoffrey R. Weller Library can be a good place for all of this, but did you know that your library has much more to offer than just books? Today, we will look at everything our library offers, from technology to accessories, and why you should use these resources.
Here at Geoffrey R. Weller Library, we have everything you need to finish your work, conduct research, or create something entirely new--from computers to printers, scanners and even a variety of tech accessories you can borrow to make your experience more comfortable or efficient.
For example, if you are a Teaching Assistant, you can borrow a tablet from the library for a set amount of time. Furthermore, if you need to charge your mobile (micro-USB, lightning, or USB-C), the library has you covered with cables and charging lockers.
Forgot your laptop charger? We can also help you. You can borrow adapters for HDMI, especially for Macs, as they usually don`t have HDMI connections or other accessories such as a mouse.
Also, you can find headphones with or without mics in case you need to be part of a meeting or want to listen to some music, as studies have shown that listening to music can help improve focus and concentration.
If you need computers, we have them, and If I may suggest, go for the ones on the third floor: the view is beautiful.
In addition to computers on the first, second, and third floors (and accessories), your library has stationery like calculators, whiteboard markers, scissors, etc. to help with group projects or studying. On the first floor, we also have staplers, a three-hole punch, and a paper trimmer. These items are close to the black and white printer near the Library Services desk.
Aside from these resources, libraries have many other resources that you may find interesting or valuable. Libraries, for example, offer a variety of classes, workshops, and events for people of all ages, ranging from reading and writing workshops to coding classes, book clubs, and much more. These events are an excellent way to meet new people, learn new skills, and participate in the community.
