Library Subscription Review
The UNBC Library is conducting a review of journal and database subscriptions. For several years, the Library has worked hard to maintain monograph allocations and serials subscriptions within a static budget. However, subscriptions costs increase annually at an average rate of 5-7%/yr.
Students, faculty, and staff are invited to review potential cancellations and submit feedback via a survey. There will also be an opportunity to suggest potential new subscriptions to ensure that the collection remains relevant. However, any additional subscription will need to be assessed within the framework of the existing budget.
Please review the proposed 2025/26 Subscription Cancellation List and share your feedback by October 31, 2025. If you have any questions, please reach out to your subject librarian or contact the Collections & Acquisitions Librarian. We greatly appreciate your feedback which is vital to ensuring that our collections remain both cost-effective and relevant to the curriculum.
