Anthropology and Archaeology : Ethnographies

A Library resource guide for the Anthropology and Archaeology programs at UNBC

To find books on a particular ethnography:

Pick your culture first! Ethnographies are books written by anthropologists who examine and describe the culture by living with communities and observing day to day habits and customs using scientific observation.  You will have to look at a book to see how it is written- is the author describing a way of life or cultural practice?

In the catalogue:

Under "Keyword" search enter case studies in cultural anthropology. This will lead you to general Ethnographies in our collection.

Under "Keyword" enter ethnograph* in the search box to search for items that are about the study and creation of ethnographies. The asterix will find everything that starts with ethnograph...
