Construction in the Library

A yellow sign with the words "under construction"

If you've been on campus recently, you have probably noticed some changes happening in the library. Last week, construction started on the first floor, the beginning of extensive renovations happening over the next few months. These renovations will create a new, updated learning commons space, with new furniture, more outlets, and a new event space!

You may be wondering "where am I supposed to study now?" Luckily, the 2nd to 4th floors are still open as usual, and the furniture from the first floor has been moved to create new study spaces for the duration of the construction.

Looking for study seating? Some of our tables have been moved just north of the library, to the Bear Lounge.

Other furniture has been moved to the Doug Little lounge and the Winter Garden.

If you're looking for a computer, the Library's second floor computer lab is open, and the lab has a black and white printer available.

We have also set up a quick print computer station near the reserves room on the first floor, with a black and white printer across from the library services desk.

Colour printing is available at the IT services desk in building 8, but we hope to have a colour printing set up near the quick print station soon.

If you have any questions about accessing services during the renovations, please stop by the Library Services desk, or give us a call at 250-960-6613.
