Data and Statistics
BC Stats is the central statistical agency of the Province of British Columbia. Its website provides access to a wide range of BC demographic, economic, labour, and social statistics as well as reports based on those statistics. Links to other sources of BC statistical information are also provided.
Statistics Canada is Canada's national statistics agency. Its web site provides access to a wide range of Canadian statistics statistical publications and analytical reports.
CANSIM @ CHASS
CANSIM contains more than 1.2 million time series covering a wide variety of social and economic aspects of Canadian life, including data relating to such topics as the system of national accounts, labor, manufacturing, construction, trade, agriculture, and finance. Selected demographic and social data, such as population estimates and vital statistics, are also available.
IMF eLibrary Statistics
The IMF eLibrary is updated monthly and provides access to International Financial Statistics, Direction of Trade, Balance of Payments, Government Financial Statistics, and Trade and Investment data for most countries worldwide.
Cross-country statistical tables and real-time datasets from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Includes economic social and environmental data covering a multitude of topic areas. See the bottom of the page for links to complete databases and publications.
World Bank Open Data
Access to more than 2,000 World Bank statistical series, including World Development Indicators. Topic categories include Agriculture & Rural Development, Aid Effectiveness, Economic Policy & External Debt, Education, Energy & Mining, Environment, Financial Sector, Health, Infrastructure, Labour & Social Protection, Poverty, Private Sector, Science & Technology, Social Development, and Urban Development.
UNdata includes official statistics including estimates projections and indicators produced by countries and compiled by the United Nations data system. Topics include agriculture employment education energy environment health human development industry information and communication technology national accounts population refugees trade and tourism. Data may be downloaded in XML comma-delimited and other formats.
