A ReadMe file is a requirement for data deposits in UNBC's Borealis Data Repository. A ReadMe file is designed to provide the end-user of your data with all the information necessary to fully understand and make use of your data.   

Adding appropriate metadata to your data deposit ensures that:

• All contributors to the creation of the dataset are recognized
• All publications related to the data are accessible
• Potential users of your data can discover it on discovery platforms, such as Canada's Lunaris or Google's Dataset Search
