FRDR addresses a longstanding gap in Canada's research infrastructure by providing a single platform from which research data can be ingested, curated, preserved, discovered, cited and shared. The platform's federated search tool provides a focal point to discover and access Canadian research data, while the range of services provided by FRDR will help researchers store and manage their data, preserve their research for future use, and comply with institutional and funding agency data management requirements.

Scholars Portal Dataverse is a publicly accessible secure Canadian data repository provided by Scholars Portal on behalf of the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) and other participating institutions. Researchers can use Dataverse to search for data, directly deposit data, create metadata, release and share data openly or privately, and visualize and explore data.

Re3data is a global registry of research data repositories that covers research data repositories from different academic disciplines. It includes repositories that enable permanent storage of and access to data sets to researchers, funding bodies, publishers, and scholarly institutions. re3data.org promotes a culture of sharing, increased access and better visibility of research data.

Harvard Dataverse is a free data repository open to all researchers from any discipline, both inside and outside of the Harvard community, where you can share, archive, cite, access, and explore research data. Each individual dataverse is a customizable collections of datasets (or a virtual repository) for organizing, managing, and showcasing datasets.

Search for DataCite DOIs and metadata. DataCite a leading global non-profit organisation that provides persistent identifiers (DOIs) for research data with a goal of helping the research community locate, identify, and cite research data with confidence. DataCite search gathers metadata for each DOI assigned to an object which is used for a large index of research data that can be queried directly to find data, obtain usage statistics and explore connections.

Search online data across a variety of different sources. Pulls datasets using a given standard format (schema.org) allowing Google to index their content. Currently only datasets annotated as 'dataset' will be indexed so moving images, pictures etc., may not be included.
