Choose a licence to let others know how they may use your work. The following table lists the various Creative Commons licences and what they mean from the most open and accommodating to the most restrictive. For more information on licencing, please contact the copyright office.

	(CC0): This licence waives all your rights and placing your work in the public domain. *Please note: This is currently the default licence used in Scholars Portal Dataverse. To select a different licence, choose a licence in the template dropdown menu or remember to change the licence after you have added your dataset.
	CC Attribution (CC BY): lets others share, remix, adapt, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as the original work is properly attributed to you. This is the most accommodating licence and recommended for maximum dissemination and use.
	CC Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA): lets others share, remix, adapt, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as the original work is properly attributed to you and they licence the derivatives under this licence. This licence is used by Wikipedia.
	CC Attribution-NoDerivs (CC BY-ND): lets others redistribute your whole and unchanged work for commercial or non-commercial purposes, as long as it is properly attributed to you.
	CC Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC): lets others share, remix, adapt, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as the original work is properly attributed to you. Derivative works do not have to be licenced on the same terms as the original.
	CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA): lets others share, remix, adapt, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as the original work is properly attributed to you and derivative works are licenced on the same terms as the original.
	CC Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND): lets others share your whole and unchanged work non-commercially as long as they credit you. This is the most restrictive licence.
