Special Collections holdings include rare, valuable, historical, and/or fragile published material, such as:

Our collecting mandate for Special Collections focuses on the geographical area of Northern and Central BC. We actively collect historical and non-historical limited print run publications relating to our area.

Searching Special Collections

To find Special Collections material at UNBC Library, use the library catalogue.

Limiting your search to Special Collections material only is easiest with an Advanced Search of the catalogue. Limit the location to "Archives" and search with your keywords.

Record the title and call number of the item(s) you wish to view.

Accessing Special Collections

Our Special Collections is non-circulating, which means materials must be used in-person in our reference room during our opening hours. Appointments are recommended, but not required, for accessing Special Collections material.
