The BC Provincial Police General Orders Digitization Project has made documents accessible that contain operational updates for employees of the BC Provincial Police between 1923 and 1949. Digitized General Orders also include nominal rolls, regulations, miscellaneous records, and an index. These records are a valuable source of research information on the Provincial Police and criminal history in BC.

Some General Orders from the 1923-1949 time span are missing pages or missing completely; the records have been digitized from their original state. Records from 1923-1931 are photocopies (originals are not held by Northern BC Archives) and have resulted in a lower quality image. All documents have been made searchable to increase ease of access. These digitized records have been edited to remove confidential information. An Access to Restricted Records Application is required to access the unsevered digital images. Funding for this digitization project was generously provided by a private foundation.
