The Pacific Great Eastern Railway Region Photograph Collection consists of 93 photographs that are a rare visual record of the early development of the Pacific Great Eastern Railway and its surrounding communities, circa 1913-1923. They depict the construction and operation of the railway line, adjacent regional geography, and the communities of Lillooet, Clinton, Newport, and Squamish.
We invite community members and rail enthusiasts to help improve the descriptions of these photographs by identifying people, places, objects, or dates; comments can be emailed to Northern BC Archives at archives@unbc.ca.
